CHOCTAW HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING AND WILL BE GOING ON A SLEEPOVER!
UPDATE: Choctaw has really settled in quite well at his foster home, and he is no longer uncertain about anything! There are lots of other dogs there and that makes him feel comfortable. In fact, this tiny little guy is having a ball playing almost constantly with one dog or another no matter their size. Choctaw is loaded with energy and he will need a home that can provide lots of exercise, play and stimulation. He has learned his family’s work and school routine during the week and spends the time in his crate with only an initial protest. When the family comes home, his crate is in order and they can tell he settled in for the duration… but he is definitely glad to see them back! Choctaw is very affectionate and really likes to snuggle close when he is on the couch or bed with his humans. Although Choctaw is estimated at about two years old, he seems to still have a lot of puppy qualities and foster mom keeps a close eye on his little self to be sure he does not get to chewing on something inappropriate. No longer neglected in a hunter’s kennel, he is learning every day what life is like in loving home with boundaries – he’s doing well with housetraining too! Choctaw is all beagle when it comes to his nose and he has a lovely beagle arrrooo that he sings out joyfully. His total little package is off the charts when it comes to cute and Choctaw will definitely be a major joy factor for some lucky family!!
New Arrival - Choctaw says,"halito!"
Okay, maybe this cute little beagle boy doesn't really speak the language, but halito (pronounced hah-lih-toh) is a friendly greeting and he would certainly agree to that! He and his siblings were all dumped together at a shelter - unwanted and discarded. But Choctaw is happy to be learning the ways of a house beagle! He was uncertain at first but has really found that being petted is quite nice. Choctaw has no uncertainties about his meals and eats like a typical beagle. He greatly enjoys the company of other dogs and is in a foster home with several to teach him the ropes. Choctaw is very inquisitive and full of energy so he will need a forever home that can provide him with adequate amounts of excercise.
